Great news for rapid dissemination of new work – PeerJ has launched their preprint server. Read more about it in their blog post.
I don’t see any up yet, but I’ll be curious to see how it works once a few get posted!

Looks like some preprints are up! 6 of them so far…
No comments/metareview/etc. in the system yet. Which is of course the safe thing to do if you’re trying to establish a new model for journal publishing.
No in-browser viewing either, which is a bit silly.
However, I would not be surprised if PeerJ evolved to include those kinds of capabilities—that could help them become established as a new hub for life sciences research that combines what you get at PLoS with what you get at arXiv with new modes as well…
